Project Overview

This tradeshow booth for Gulbrandsen Technologies was designed to reflect the brand’s dynamic presence in the personal care and chemical solutions industry. I used bold imagery, high-contrast typography, and motion-inspired visuals to highlight the company’s focus on speed, resilience, and innovation. The tagline “Delivering at a Greater Speed” is visually reinforced by the centerpiece: a high-performance cyclist pushing through a burst of particles—symbolizing Gulbrandsen’s commitment to performance-driven product development. Clean geometric layouts and dark, high-impact backgrounds create a modern, energetic atmosphere that captures attention on the show floor.

Each visual element ties directly back to Gulbrandsen’s core message of adaptability and excellence. Large-format product callouts like “Active AERO” and “Active DRYON” are strategically placed to emphasize cutting-edge formulations, while lifestyle imagery (e.g., athletes and performers) connects the brand to end-user vitality and movement. From the elevated “Stay Cool. No Sweat!” header to the subtle branding touches at each kiosk, the booth was designed for both visual appeal and narrative clarity—making Gulbrandsen’s value proposition unmistakable in a crowded expo environment.

Tools Used For This Project

To design the Gulbrandsen tradeshow booth, I used a combination of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop for layout and graphics, and Blender for 3D visualization. InDesign allowed me to maintain tight control over the booth’s typography, spacing, and overall visual hierarchy—ideal for creating large-format panels where legibility and alignment are crucial. I paired this with Photoshop to develop the high-impact imagery seen throughout the display, including the action shots and branded product treatments. Photoshop’s layer control, masking, and color correction tools made it easy to build cohesive visuals that matched the energy and tone of the brand while remaining print-ready for large-scale production. Once the design was finalized in 2D, I brought it into Blender to model the entire booth in a three-dimensional environment. This allowed me to experiment with scale, lighting, and viewer perspective to ensure the booth would feel immersive and cohesive from every angle. Modeling it in Blender was especially useful for identifying spatial relationships between elements—like how the cyclist panel aligns with the kiosk or how lighting might affect texture visibility. It also gave the client a photorealistic preview of the final setup before fabrication, helping streamline approvals and reduce production revisions.

Used for laying out large-format panels with precision, ensuring proper alignment, typography hierarchy, and consistent margins across the booth.

Enabled complex visual compositions with layered graphics, realistic textures, and brand-consistent imagery that held up at full scale.

Allowed real-time previews of lighting, perspective, and flow—ensuring the design translated seamlessly from concept to installation.
